Jerry and his wife Gina George recently celebrated their 25^th anniversary. They have lived in the Hewitt, Lorena area of Central Texas all of their married life. They have three married sons who have started families of their own. One of Jerry’s great joys is getting together with his sons and playing golf. He also likes to hunt and fish when he has the opportunity.

After leaving Hubbard, Jerry began his work in production agriculture, working for a local Coop in Hillsboro. He was involved in everything from weed control to managing a satellite grain elevator. After several years, he was offered the position of managing the Terra facility, in Hillsboro, TX. In his role he ran the fertilizer and chemical business, advised plus sold farmers and ranchers the products they needed to produce their crops and forage, while being good stewards of the land.

Jerry earned his Certified Crop Advisor designation after extensive training at Terra University, a company-based training program. He learned everything from weed and pest identification and their control, to soil sampling and fertility recommendations. As a CCA Jerry has also had extensive continuing education, enabling him to stay abreast of new technologies and developments that affect agriculture in a given area.
